We would love if you could get 4 people for a table at our Table Quiz on Friday, 30th June at 9.30 p.m.  €40 per table and refreshments will be provided.  Two worthy causes so please come along and support.  It will also be a good night out!

The evening was dry, we were off to a good start!  Then the athletes arrived from the local schools in the parish and farther afield.  We were delighted to welcome them all to our annual event which is an important tradition for the school.  Sean Michael Collins did a great job as MC (hope he knows he’s not getting paid!!!) and all the parents in Gurrane school had a job for the night which was much appreciated.  There were races for all school going children including sprints, 220, 440, relays, long jump, and the fun ones – the three legged race and the sack race.  The evening always ends with the Tug-of-War and it was no surprise that Glasheen Boys took gold again (31 years in a row!!).  Thanks also to those who did some home baking, which was well received with a cup of tea or coffee.  A huge thanks to all our sponsors who were mentioned on the night.

Don’t forget our annual school sports at Valley Rovers grounds, Brinny on 12th May at 6 p.m.  It is open to all Primary School children.

This event was a great success last year and brought many past students, neighbours and new people in the community to gather and enjoy a lovely walk, finished off with some time to chat over tea at the school.

What a great morning was had by the children and parents at the school a few weeks ago.  There were lots of happy children and the adults got to enjoy and hot cuppa!

Don’t forget to come along for some fun and music at our FREE Toddler Morning and Open Morning at Gurrane N.S. tomorrow.  And the moms and dads can have a nice cuppa and homebaking while they are chatting!  It’s win, win win for everyone:)
