The walk will commence from the school gates at 2pm. As always we ask you to leave your pets at home for the duration of the walk for everyone’s safety.
The Parents Association are currently looking for help in relation to stewards along the route. If you can help in any way please get in contact with

Green Schools 5k Walk
Enrolment Day – Junior Infants 2019
Gurrane National School is now taking enrolments for the coming school year 2019/2020.
Applications can be obtained from the school office or through our website at http://gurranens.ie/information/enrolment/
Our school enrolment morning will be held on Thursday February 28th from 9.am – 10.30am.
Children are asked to bring a small lunch on that morning.
School closed on March 15th to facilitate an in-service day
The school will be closed on March 15th to facilitate an in-service day for the Literacy an Primary Language Curriculum.
The Department understands the need for schools to engage at a whole-school level to achieve the desired changes in practice which will have a real impact on pupils’ learning. This in service day will facilitate further whole-staff collaborative exploration of the curriculum with a view to supporting implementation.
So we will be off the 15th weekend 16th & 17th and Monday the 18th of March.
Parents Association meeting rescheduled

Christmas Production 2018
Christmas Mass and The Nativity play will return for one morning only at Gurrane School Hall!!!!
11am on Thursday the 13th of December.
No Uniform Day Fundraiser
The four schools in the Parish have been approached by Valley Rovers to see would they fund-raise by having a No Uniform day this Friday December 7th.
If each child can donate E2 each, to participate.
This fundraiser is in aid of Caoimhe Finnegan (a team-mate of the girls in the senior room) who is currently in Beaumont Hospital, and facing a long road ahead of her.
She an her parents are based in Beaumont Hospital and are there for the foreseeable future.
The camogie club in conjunction with the ladies football club are looking to each school for their help and all donations would be greatly appreciated.
