On Sunday last, 3rd April, a huge crowd gathered at Gurrane National School to celebrate 60 years on its current site. In honour of this historic occasion, the annual school walk was changed to a community walk and an invitation was extended to all, particularly past pupils. And they came, along with past Board of Management members, Grandparents and many more. It was a day for chat, tea and music. The rain held off until the end of the walk and it was lovely to see people gathered in the school reminiscing and getting re-acquainted.
Here are just a few pictures of the day, more to follow later ……………..
This event will take place at

To mark the occasion of the school reaching its 60th year on its current site, we are holding a 5 km Community Walk on the country roads near the school. There will be a warm welcome and cupán tae for everyone. We would especially love to see past pupils. Some traditional music will be provided during the walk for those who are unable to participate and also after the walkers get back.
All are welcome.
There will be a Parents Association Meeting on next Monday, 29th February at 8.00 p.m. The main item on the Agenda is the School Walk.
All are welcome.
Thanks alot to Mairead Gallagher from Wriggletto who provided a morning full of fun, music and dance last Saturday, 5th February at our Toddler Morning. She had everyone singing, playing instruments and dancing – it was a great workout at the same time!!! Here you can see everyone enjoying themselves:)
The next meeting will take place tomorrow from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the school. All parents should have got a text and an email with the Agenda.
Hope to see you all there!
