Thanks to everyone who attended our Table Quiz before Christmas. It was well supported by the local community and is always a great night out. Thanks to John Wall for being an efficient Quiz Master as usual and a special thank you to all those who donated something for the raffle, it was much appreciated.
The winner on the night was Michael and Lisa Cronin’s table, well done! Seen below is Michael receiving his prizemoney (which he kindly gave back to the school), Carla Lynch (Treasurer) and John Wall.

Reminder – Raffle tickets in aid of Cork Penny Dinners for sale – €2 per ticket. All support welcome. The prize is a beautiful Childrens Hamper very kindly donated by Larissa from her Hallmark shop in Ballincollig.
Last Saturday saw the return of our Toddler Morning. The theme was the Gingerbread man and the children had great fun decorating some lovely gingerbread men baked by Noreen Healy (back by popular demand!). This was followed by an animated story telling session given by Mrs. Elmarie Tallon. It was brilliant to see so many turning up especially those who had come to our lovely school for the first time. Our first Parents Association Meeting for this term will take place on this coming Thursday night at 8.30 p.m. New parents to the school are particularly welcome. The meetings generally take only one hour so we hope to see you all there.
The bingo night was a great success. There was a great buzz and the children really got into it. Some of them even had special bingo markers!!! It was also lovely to see children from the others schools in the area. Here are some pictures – well done to Valerie who was a real pro at the Bingo calling (ably assisted by Martina!) and thanks to all the parents who helped out on the night.
Gurrane National School are holding a bingo night for primary and secondary schools from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, 17th June. €5 per child. See you there:)
